Out of Sights
Approaching the end of their school year, the Middle School classes took a trip to the Outer Banks, North Carolina where they visited the Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey’s Ridge, the Chicamacomico US Life Saving Station, as well as the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, the Roanoke Island Festival Park Fort and the Raleigh National Historic Site.
Agricultural Science Competition
The Ag Class or The Holy Cows competed at North Carolina State in May. After practicing all year long, The Junior High teams, the Roominators and the Nerd Herd performed well in their Quiz Bowl and Skillathon, When the Roominators went up against the Forsyth senior team to complete their win, everyone thought the Roominators would lose. However, they shocked everyone and won by nearly 100 points. Melissa Acosta, faculty member and parent of a competitor, said, “I honestly did not see that coming, and I was extremely proud of my son Elijah and his team for doing so well.”
